See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Introduction

DNI: st*rker shippers, y’all leave first

- racists, sexists/misogynists, terfs/radfems, anti-LGBT, ableists (if you are a bigot, bye bye), pedo/rape apologists

I post incorrect quotes, which should be under the tags #peter parker or #quotes. This is supposed to be a RP blog, but now it’s just OP shitposting. I defend MCU Peter and talk about why he is not a whitewashed of Miles Morales, but I do not claim that he is a perfect representation of comics Peter.

About OP: I am not white, I am gay, and I am trans. I’m 19, but I am fine talking with anyone if they are comfortable. I talk about Marvel and DC comics and the MCU.

If I say anything out of line or you need me to tag something specific, let me know.

Pinned Post not peter updating

Ok I’m tired of people saying MCU peter isn’t poor or struggling. Clearly y’all have never known a poor new yorker

And if I see one more person say MCU flash isn’t a bully im gonna start pulling out personal accounts of people being bullied by assholes just like him

peter parker anti mcu peter parker anti mcu spiderman marvel mcu these are bad criticisms of mcu peter im putting these tags so all you antis can see cause none of y’all know what the fuck it’s like being poor in nyc gonna become a Killmonger blog are there Killmonger antis hope not cause he’s the best and saying iron boy jr is stupid too y’all clearly just interpreted the mcu spiderman films differently which is okay but don’t go giving Tom Holland shit for it and don’t give fans shit for the same thing you’re allowed to hate MCU peter parker but some of your criticism on him is entirely wrong

points to a sign that says “sometimes two people from the same marginalized community will want/need two very different things from their representation in fiction and they should both be allowed to find and make that representation to suit their own needs and neither should be criticized for not making the representation that the other wants”

like, for example, if one trans person is dealing with hostility from their family and their own internalized transphobia and they’re comforted by seeing a trans character face those same things, then that’s fine and they should be allowed to. if another trans person finds those kinds of stories bleak and disheartening and would prefer to see a trans character with caring loved ones and who takes pride in their identity, then that’s also fine and they should be allowed to. neither of them is doing the other any harm by looking for or making the content they personally want to see.

“why would you ever want to portray queerphobia in your fantasy, that’s so shitty, ugh”

because I am queer and I want to and you don’t get to tell me I can’t use my own experiences in my own goddamn writing

Aight fellas here’s my takeaway after reading through these individual accounts:

1) HORRIFYINGLY, we are not bored enough. The onset of adulthood comes with more freedom to AVOID boredom, and all the instantly-accessible, hyper-stimulating technology & entertainment available to us probably doesn’t help us seek out activities that are less immediately rewarding… aka, our chosen crafts.

2) Now that we’re AWARE of this, we can begin to figure out which environments help us each to thrive the most creatively, & try to replicate those circumstances in our adult lives!

3) NEURODIVERGENT CREATIVES STOP BLAMING YOURSELVES WHEN PASSION ALONE ISN’T ENOUGH 2K21

Things with no gay/queer rep can be progressive and groundbreaking actually and need to be part of the discussion of representation in media

amazinglissawho

Like,,,,

A show about an interracial disabled couple (that’s written well) is just as progressive as a show about two gay characters

A show with multiple well written POC characters, especially in leading roles, is progressive and should be part of the discussion

Representation has never only meant queer rep.

And I hate that so many of POC and disabled people see that shows and books that represent them, not get included or acknowledge in the discussion about representation.

Just because something doesn’t represent you, doesn’t mean it’s not representing someone else.

Yes queer rep is good, of course it is (I’m neither cis nor het) but I can not begin to understand how so many of you will just,,,ignore shows that represent POC and/or disabled people in a well written and positive way because it’s not what you are. Or tell us that when we mention them as good examples of rep that it’s not really representation.

The world exist outside of you and your experience.
